Weave

Weave is a suspension lamp realised by laser cutting a 4mm thick MDF panel. It is made of eight elements which wedge in themselves, one at the base and the other one at the top, where the socket of the lightbulb is placed. The structure evokes the image of a spider, hanging thanks to a fiber, which weaves a net thanks to the geometrical pattern of the elements.
The idea of working with two-dimensional interlocked shapes wills to better each step in the manufacturing, packaging, transportation and mounting process. It can be used both to light up the domestic environment and to decorate wide places which have the necessity to have a light effect that optically “fills the space”.
